"Assortiments" is a contemporary vision on the Baroque style of Northern Italian ceramics of the
1950s. Assembled like inseparable rings of a chain, these fragile looking biscuit (opaque white ceramic)
frames acquire a new sculptural and visual presence through the shadows they create on the
wall from which they hang.The evanescent white richness of a culture is remastered by the design of
the assemblage and its illumination.

After her visit to the Stylnove factory,
the designer Sabine marcelis was
inspired by the extrusion machine. So
she chose to utilise it in her project,
without working with a mould but
exploiting the potentialities of the
continuous profile that emerges from
the machine and can be worked
subsequently to add functionality. The
result is a collection of cylindrical
extrusions that can be mounted on the
wall either vertically or horizontally
and function as sculptural indirect
lighting fixtures with leds for outdoor
use. ‘The texture of the material
makes it very pleasant to the touch
and the various layers of glaze bring
out the hidden properties of the
material. A warm glow is reflected on
the wall from behind the minimal
monolithic volumes.’

Faro is a collection of ceramic table lamps inspired by decorative wall covering modules.
The collection is made up of the assembly of 3 individual sculptural elements in possible different ways. The union of the
ceramic forms is emphasized by a contrasting joint which underlines and, like a sign, draws every single luminous
object.
